Fiona Dunbar has a penchant for clever storylines (check out Toonhead with the boy cartoonist who inadvertently draws the future) and Pink Chameleon fizzes with ideas - from the dress that changes color and style by remote control to the voice activated cars. For fear of spoiling the surprise, I can't tell you about the brilliant central event in the story which launches the Silk Sisters into their trilogy - the second book is inventively titled Blue Gene Baby - suffice to say, there's Arthur Clarkson, a pet chameleon, a lightning bolt and ... well go on, read it. How wonderful, a really smart book for girls. You'll love it.
