A bit loose on the wrists, but for the ankles they're great. I use them for leg curls mostly and they're doing the job well. For weighted squats (on the wrists), they're not very secure so I stick to dumbbells.
Also, 5lb is the total sum - I would've liked to have had 5lb for each ankle. If you're serious about bodybuilding, then perhaps get weights that you can adjust??
