And here we have the fourth album from self proclaimed "well respected south coast garage rockers" featuring members of Green Hornets and TV21. Like that means diddly squat oop here in the frozen North.
They've been on the go since Y2K from the remanants left behind by sixites garage rockers, The Green Hornets and the Link Wray loving TV21. Since then they've been on "a mission to rule and not suck". And, they don't suck. Of course, they don't actually rule either, rather falling in the middle somewhere.
Mebbe they just don't have fifteen good songs in them, as the album starts to falter two thirds of the way through. But with some amusing lyrics and fine collection of Ramones riffs. they blast their way through the early part of the album with great applomb. And with plenty of added "ooh-oohs", which is always a good thing.
As befits a bunch of musicians who've played with the likes of MC5, The Warlocks and The Mooney Suzuki, theyknow their way around a sleazy, dirty guitar line, and should really stick to rocking out hard, as it's the more placid material that doesn't linger in the system. But when they blast out 'Hot Love' and 'Everyone Hates Me', their's is a mighty fine rock and roll place to be.
