Product Description

Tanis Helliwell's newest book "Pilgrimage with the Leprechauns: a true story of a mystical tour of Ireland" is a romp to the sacred sites of Ireland accompanied by a leprechaun who is helping her and her thirty fellow pilgrims face their blind spots. They have a topsy-turvy encounter with the mischievous, wise humour that the Irish call "The Craic."

"The Craic cannot be pinned down and, when you try to do so, it joggles you out of your comfort zone and laughs at you. It is both the great cosmic joke and cosmic joker. The Craic is magic. The Craic comes, whenever it wants, and does, whatever it can, to move us into deeper knowing and truth. The only approach a sane person can take towards the Craic is to surrender to it, as any resistance is futile. " from the Preface

In addition to being an amusing story, Helliwell's book is chock fun of information about nature spirits or elementals, as they like to call themselves. The trolls, elves, goblins, and brownies are as real for the reader as the various humans whom they partner. For anyone planning a trip to the sacred sites of Ireland, or to Ireland itself for that matter, this book abounds in nuggets as precious as the pot of gold that the Leprechaun holds at the end of the rainbow.

"As a master storyteller of today, Tanis brings her characters to life on a truly remarkable journey with a leprechaun as a tour guide." Jeff Frank, founder Nature Lyceum of New York

5.0 out of 5 stars Pilgrimage with the Leprechauns 3 April 2011
By Diana
Format:Paperback
This delightful book, written by Tanis, following a pilgrimage through parts of Ireland, with a group of 'humans'and 'elementals', is a journey of self transformation, connection and deeper understanding of one for the other. For both humans and the elemental kingdom have the opportunity to evolve in partnership and, as it was long ago, live in harmony and most importantly work together in healing the planet.

The book is full of humour, how could it not be when your pilgrimage guide is a Leprechaun!!! He works behind the scenes making sure that everyone has opportunities to experience the *'craic' both light and 'dark': both the magical and joyous as well as the difficult stuff that allows for the pealing away of whatever it is holding the individual back from living with the flow and experiencing the joy!

*To understand what the 'craic' is you will need to read the book!!! I can almost garantee it will leave you with a lasting impression and another way to view and work through life's challenges.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read 22 Sep 2010
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book is a great read for all those looking for evidence of the nature spirit realms. Following on from her first book this goes deeper into the relationships of humans and spirits, in this case a leprechaun, with interesting consequences.
