I go to a Pilates class at least twice a week which I feel has really helped with my rock climbing and cycling. Not only in terms of developing core strength, but also forearm strength and balance. I wholeheartedly recommend it to any athlete.
This book has a good selection of exercises but a felt that quite a lot of the sport specific advise was rushed and she seems to recommend pretty much the same thing for everyone. The photography is not brilliant in terms of showing correct form and overall I feel you'd be much better off buying a generic Pilates book. "Pilates for Men" is a much better title in my opinion.
