Product Description

Product Description
Through his famous interviews with the stars "Piers Morgan" changed the face of popular journalism, taking the British press into a new era of the cult of the celebrity. Years later, it is clear that this man set a standard that has been much emulated, but never equalled. At just 28, Piers Morgan took up a post at the "News of the World" as Editor - the youngest of a national newspaper for more than 50 years. Two years on he was headhunted by the "Daily Mirror". The reason? A unique gift for finding, investigating and selling a story and knowing just where to look and who to talk to in order to get what a paper needs. This classic book is a wonderful collection of the landmark interviews conducted by Piers in which Britain's rich and famous make the sorts of revelations that only come about when a skilful interviewer is at the helm. These candid, often hilarious, conversations with celebrities past and present are essential reading for star-obsessed fans to journalism buffs alike!

About the Author

1.0 out of 5 stars Pathetic, and a rip-off!, 21 Aug 2007
By M. Power "Disappointed Morgan Fan" (London) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
When I bought this book it was based on my opinion on the other two great books written by Piers Morgan, which were funny and witty and hard to put down.

This book, which you would obviously think were based on transcripts of real celebrity and political interviews Piers has given over his career, is nothing but a collection of descriptions of famous people. Even though some of their commentary about themselves is interesting, there is no interview transcript. SERIOUSLY!!! Open it up, and there is no commentary by Morgan, there are not even any interviews as you would expect!

This is a pathetic attempt to make money out of Morgan fans. His name is now dirt in my opinion.

I have never even written a review like this in my life, and was so compulsed to write one so no one else gets duped like me.
