Product Description

Dexeryl Cream helps the signs and symptoms of xerosis associated with atopic dermatitis and ichthyosis.

Dexeryl cream, an emollient and moisturising cream from Pierre Fabre Dermatologie was launched in 2008.

It is specifically for the treatment of signs and symptoms of skin dryness (xerosis) expecially in various skin diseases (such as atopic dermatitis, ichtyosis).

It has been shown to be effective but, importantly, patients significantly prefer using Dexeryl.

*Comparative study on 65 patients with ichthyosis. Comparison Dexeryl vs gelified glycerol.

- Fragrance-free.

Do not use if you are allergic to parabens (E216).

My son has had excema on his hands and flare ups over his body for over two years and nothing much has helped except steroid cream in short doses. I read about Pierre Fabre Dexeryl Cream in the Daily Mail and thought 'why not, I've tried everything else'. After two days I saw a complete change and as soon as it's applied he stops scrathcing too. So I am going to use it every day. It really does work...I only wish they did saop and bath cream.

After trying many, many prescription products on our little son, almost all of which disagreed with him, and spending months buying expensive tubs of Beelief Emoliex (a very soothing and wholly natural Beeswax and Lavender cream which we would also very much recommend but which did not provide a cure), a staff member at the hospital dermatology department gave us a small free sample of Dexeryl. So when we next visited Dermatology a year later we asked for a prescription for the stuff as we thought it had been rather good. The Dermatology Nurse had never heard of it (despite her department having given us the sample) but we did get a prescription.

Dexeryl, along with a minute application of a mild steroid (Elocon) several times a week, has now kept his skin in good condition for some weeks, the first time he's been virtually eczema-free for two years, so we're very pleased with it!

It does contain liquid paraffin and a Paraben (E216).

Ingredients: Glycerol, white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin, glycerol monostearate, stearic acid, polydimethylcyclo-siloxane, silicone oil, macrogol 600, trolamin, propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), purified water.

My little baby boy had red and dry skin on his back, elbows and back of his knees for a few weeks and it was getting worse and spreading. The doctor prescribed double base cream which made it worse. I tried Oilatum bath ointment and cream but they did not work either. I came across this cream doing research on the internet and decided to give it a go. In just two days his eczema improved and was gone completely in 4 days. It flared up a couple of times afterwards but I put the cream immediately and his skin was clear and smooth the following day. This cream seems like a miracle and I think the 250g tube will last us forever. Cannot recommend it enough!

Smooth and gentle
A very gentle and soothing cream which suits my daughter's sensitive skin. The only drawback is the price when it is used frequently.
