To me, this is the best Bourdieu critical book. All key concepts are clearly marked out explained in the most simple but precise language.
This is especially so when compared to Jenkins book on Bourdieu. Jenkins' book is advertised as 'direct, concise and to the point'. Personal experience is that it is so confusing, both writing style and concept construction compared to Grenfell's.
As a third year phd student in culture study, I find this book has helped me emencely in conceptualising Bourdieu and highly recommend it to potential buyers.
