It is rare that something advertised as a 'pictorial guide' can in fact be recommended as a serious source for students. stunning 22 May 2010
Format:Paperback
This is such a beautiful book, Its full of detailed glossy photographs and well summarised information on each species. The only downside was the scratch across the front cover. That is easily ignored though as the book is a great addition to all librarys!

For anybody that is interested in primates, whether they be a beginner or a budding primatologist, this is a must-have book. It is a comprehensive, beautifully illustrated guide of the 234 currently recognized species of primates. There are over 260 pages, 500 plus photo's and also illustrations. When this book arrived, I flipped through the pages and was very happy that I had purchased it. If I want some fairly detailed information on any of the primates, I always use this book first, as it is so quick and easy to find any of the primates I may be looking for. It is my most Prized book on primates to date.Pictorial Guide to the Living Primates
