This single is possibly the best ever produced by the 'phonics. It consists of three tracks, all of which are in acoustic with only Jones playing any part in them. Track one is an acoustic version of 'Pick a part that's new' which shows brilliant use of an acoustic guitar accompanied by great vocals and brilliant lyrics about going to America and noticing that everything looks like something out of a film. The second track is another track written by Jones called 'In my day'. This track, which describes an incident in which Kelly is robbed by an old man, boasts great lyrics with a touch of humour as can be seen by the line 'He nicked my twelve quid watch, my left foot sock....'. And finally, track three is a cover of Cobain's 'Something in the way' which can be found on the modern masterpiece 'Never mind'. Jones sings this song brilliantly, matching Cobain's low mellow voice. This single, although it doesn't include Richard Jones or Stuart Cable, shows the Stereophonics at their best and is an essential purchase for any 'phonics fan.
