4.0 out of 5 stars good compilation 2 Feb 2014
By Edward J. mccarthy Jr. - Published on Amazon.com
another good compilation in this series now on its 16th volume, volume 16 seems to focus more on singer/songwriter 45s collected between 1966 and 1972, as with all of these the remastering is great and the booklet that comes with this cd will tell you all you need to know about each artist as i dont think you could find anything out on the net regarding at least some of them as these 45s are between 42 and 48 years old and have probably never been on cd before, dont expect much psyche or garage rock on this one, as i said this volume seems to focus more on singer/songwriter that category seems to fit this disc much better, still i enjoyed most of the songs on here and i am already waiting for volume 17 to come along, my ears are more in line with the psyche fuzz, garage rock and mod that came out of the uk in the 60s but once again this disc is still very worthy in my collection, if you are more in line with the other categorys i mentioned then you may want to check out the mixed up minds series wich is now in its seventh volume.......
5.0 out of 5 stars Sunshine With Love 25 Jan 2014

Volume 16 is quite the romantic charmer, finding such rarities in the Baroque, Music Hall and Folk styles. The 20 lost song gems here all were released as 45rpm singles on labels like: CBS, Morgan, Polydor, Columbia, Dart, Mercury and Pye. My Favorite songs on this album are Matthew Bones-Two Sugars, Brendan Phillips-Pack Your Bags, Barry Ryan-Annabelle, Oscar Bicycle-On a Quiet Night, Philip John Filby-David McKenzie, Susie Klee-Mr. Zero, John Williams-My Ways Are Set, Malcolm Holland-Family Tree, Marc Reid-Sale by Auction, John Williams-Can't Find the Time, Malcolm Holland-Wendy and Napoleon Smith-Painting Pictures. Other Artists on the album are: Toast, Ivor Cutler Trio, Studio Six, Hogarth, Yellow Bellow Room Boom, Annabelle Leventon and Dave Justin. This compilation is well worth owning for collectors of Pop Psych.
