another great compilation particles put together here, i love this series as well as the mixed up minds series, anyway what made volume 14 extra special for me was the track from reaction records by OSCAR called YOU CAN JOIN MY GANG!!!!! i have seen the original 45 on e bay but it is usually all scratched up and whatnot and i have never seen that song appear on cd before, the song YOU CAN JOIN MY GANG was written by none other then PETE TOWNSHEND but the whos manager at the time rejected the song as a who song and felt it would be better if it was given to the band OSCAR who put out 4 45s back then and of coarse the whos manager managed oscar as well as both the who and reaction records so this was a real treat as i have had petes demo of the song for 35 years now, anyway all the other tracks picked for this cd are fantastic and what a great collection this is indeed, this is a total must for any POP PSYCHE collector and i would even go as far as saying you can here garage rock elements here as well, i really really enjoy this volume and if mark soloman can see this review, another amazing 45 that has yet to make it to cd is another townshend penned song from 1967 called THE LAZY FAT PEOPLE!!!! this has never appeared on any cd at all and the artist that released this song in 1967 in the uk was called THE BARRON NIGHTS, this 45 even came out in the us on decca in 1967 as well as the uk and france, it totally belongs on one of these great piccadilly sunshine compilations, anyway i will review volume 15 when i get chance to spin it................. once again thank you for this great compilation, the liner notes are so informative and the remastering of all these songs is just fabulous.. i hope anyone who buys this enjoys it as much as i do...also there is a great track on here by alex harvey from his 1960s soul band era, alex of coarse went on to form the sensational alex harvey band in 1971 wich he is most known for, his 1960s work with his soul band and solo work was very good to....

Vol 14 gathers more great lost Pop Psych singles from the UK on well known record labels such as Fontana, Piccadilly, RCA, Colombia, Parlophone, Reaction, Page One, United Artists, CBS, Mercury, Decca and Polydor. My Favorite songs on this album are Checkmates-Every Day is Just the Same, Mirage-Just a Face, Studio Six-Bless My Soul, Warren Davis Monday Band-Without Fear, Jon-Sing Out and Shades of Morley Brown-Silly Girl. For Pop Psych collectors this album and the entire series is a must have.
