I don't know what the other reviewer was thinking. This album is fantastic, but be warned, it is NOT Iron Maiden playing on this recording. These songs are well translated on piano and the unmistakable Maiden music shines thru. Awesome playing and song selection and a real joy to listen to if you are a true fan of the music.

Thank goodness for the ability to preview albums on Amazon.
I was intrigued when it suggested I might like this album when I was browsing Iron Maiden titles...
Having sampled some of the songs I can honestly say that they are terrible!!
If you're an Iron Maiden fan - do NOT buy this album (at least not without listening to it first).
There is no passion, no panache, no power and no point in covering maiden songs with such dreary piano playing.

Avoid at all costs!!

Solo piano covering some classic IM tunes?! You betcha! Very interesting and very well done. This will play in my classroom when my students are working and they'll have no idea that they are "rockin' out" with some of the best Heavy Metal on the planet. Up the ivory... uh... IRONS!!!

I love it!

In a nutshell, it is nothing but piano playing all the instruments (guitar, bass, and vocals) so its not any more complex than writing a midi score on your computer and playing it with that stupid comp synth effect. But the performer is really good and it just thrills me to hear clearly Iron Maiden music in its full complexity, without any guitar distortions, which have that effect to cut on tone's frequencies and make the melodies sound much "drier".

If you listened to these songs a thousand times already (like I did), and kindda got bored of them, but also like to sing along or reminisce a bit, you will love this too.
