I teach piano and I have used this book with students who are struggling with sight-reading. It pares the process right back. I will be using it from the word go with future students as it really makes a difference.

The grade 8 sight-reading book is very easy to use and there are many good rhythmic examples, backed up by melodic tunes. I would recommend this product but also it may be good practice to find a hyme book somewhere and sight-read from it because it gives you a good feel for different chords under your hands and how different chord processions should sound. Good luck!

I disagree with the critics. The book is purposely for sight-reading towards ABRSM Exams and not to teach children jingle bells. Therefore the contents must pose a challenge to students in order to prepare themselves towards whatever grade they are studying towards. It is somewhat astonishing for a "highly qualified teacher" to expose such ignorance.

Very useful

Excellent piano sight reading practice book
This book was recommended to us by our piano teacher, 40 pages in total split into nine progressive stages. Excellent at slowly improving your child's sightreading abilities.
