THe best of the two concertos is the William Bendix which is really excellent. A romantic composer of the late 19th Century his music has style, imagination and feeling. He should be better known.
The pianist Oleg Marshev has been the soloist in all four of the series and is as always a really superb performer.
The Rudolph Simonsen Concerto is also good but does not compare with the Bendix. But then I am biased.
Also I can say is when is volume 5 due of this really lovely series.
