This physiology book by Linda contanzo is an amazing book with great explained concepts to each topic of physiology. Easily breakdown so you could learn in a much simple and easy way as physiology is one of the most complex branch of biology as you are learning about the human body and is defiantly the best book if you are studying in medical school or doing an undergrad degree in physiology or any Health related subject I would recommend this book to anyone our there who is serious on reading this book as it's easily broken down for students to grasp. It's the best physiology book out there and to date. Don't waste money on other physiology books as they explain things in a much confusing way buy this book with the BRS book in physiology as it would help review your knowledge on what you learned on this book it's best to buy this book with BRS as it's like a set and you need both if you want to get the most effective learning out of physiology. Lastly physiology takes in all branches such as pharm, micro, patho, biochem, histo, immuno, anatomy you need to know your anatomy and others in order to know physiology at a proper level as they take in everything in one basket. As physiology is a very vast subject and needs proper understand and a lot of thinking I hope you found this review useful and all I can say buy buy this work

2.0 out of 5 stars The packaging is horrible 5 Oct 2013
By Mohamed
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I know I chose the standard packaging, but seriously, the four (of the same) books I ordered came cramped into this tiny very ruined package with a HUGE stain of some oily substance that ruined one of the books, which wasn't covered properly. The side of the book has this oily stain and I can clearly see a stain on the bottom. The others are okay. But I really don't know how I will use this one. I will have to give my friends the good copies and keep the bad one, but for what reason?!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Physiology Book 22 Dec 2013
By Anna7 - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
As a medical student, I have found this book to be enormously helpful in my physiology class. It's much shorter and more concise than other textbooks, and still has all the information I need. It has great photos and diagrams, and really helpful explanations. Plus, the author, Linda Costanzo, also wrote the BRS book for physiology, so the two tie together really well. I definitely would recommend this book to first year medical students!

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't say enough good things 29 Sep 2013
By CRich - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition with Audio/Video
This book works miracles for medical students having trouble in physiology. It has just enough detail, does a wonderful job explaining things, and re-emphasizes concepts multiple times throughout a chapter so you don't forget the material as easily. The text flows very smoothly and contains great diagrams. Get it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Straight Forward 13 April 2014
By Vieve - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Makes all of the material very approachable and straight forward. The images are good. It's more of a supplement for me than a text I can rely on to cover everything in the depth I need to know. Very good for topics that are more difficult to understand.
