I am a Biology degree student and bought this book thinking it would be fun. It is the best book I have met on my course. It helped me understand even complex mechanisms of mammalian physiology. Its section on renal physiology really makes the mechanisms of the kidney clear, as it does for all other areas. I think this book should be a must for any student of the life sciences.

This book reaffirms the adage: Never judge a book by its cover, (or by its title!) This excellent work makes it easy to understand complex structures and functions in physiology. I have used it as a supplementary text for students ranging from 10th grade to graduate students in biomedical engineering. However, color, the reader must, to get full benefit from the book! It has become a classic tool to learn physiology in an entertaining, yet accurate and reliable way. A brilliant idea!

As a nurse i thought it was time to brush up on some anatomy and physiology, i bought this book as well as its anatomy counterpart thinking a different learning style might help. This is a wonderfully illustrated book not at all like you'd expect from the title. However be weary although this is a colouring book it is extremely advanced and i think it would be more suited to the medics among us then us lowly nurses brushing up on the simple stuff.
