2.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work for me 9 Feb 2011
By dc
Format:Paperback
Used this for my Mechanics exam and found that it wasn't particularly effective for me. Could do with a few more worked examples with step-by-step breakdowns for the tougher concepts. A bit disappointing considering it's endorsed by OCR, but sadly it's the only resource my college provides.

I'm going to look for something else to help me through my next unit.

2.0 out of 5 stars No working shown for most calculations 23 Feb 2010
By ed
Format:Paperback
The text is quite informative, but the overall experience is poor, due to the lack of shown working for questions in the text.
If you work out an answer, then that answer isn't the same as the author's, you're on your own - no help, just an answer! Frustrating and demoralising for students.
If a question is worth setting, it's worth showing ALL the working for it.
Not recommended at all.

This book is disappointing. There is a lack of worked examples even compared to other books of this series. It's very hard to do questions on your own. Read more
