There are a few of these books out now, and they're very good. This one, explaining many physics concepts in a single page, is my favourite.

First, the Table of Contents works properly - often a point with Kindle apps. Second, the essays don't skimp on the maths - most of the core equations are included and explained, in terms that relate well to the concepts being explained.

I find these books best for dipping into in those times each day where you've got a few minutes to spare but don't want to dive into a novel. Each essay is a couple of hundred words and you can get through one or two almost anywhere. A great little reference.
