I must try and balance some of the other reviews seen here. This is really a great little machine. Before purchasing I read a thorough review of this printer and have to say have found it did exactly as reported. It is very easy to use, set up, print and manage photographs. It will print on other photographic papers but quality is best when HP Advanced Photo Paper is used. It has the ability to print direct from a camera card or from a PC. Quality of the prints are on the whole great although can appear to come out a little darker than on screen. However, this can sometimes be due to monitor brightness, especially LCD ones.. I have used more expensive printers in the past and can say that is is comparable. I was a little concerned that one cartridge would not produce the best of colour matches but I can say that in 99% of prints they are perfect. As to cost of cartridges then you have to bear in mind that most printers need at the minimum 2 inks and would therefore possibly cost more than the single one used here. Because it is so easy and trouble free to use I have printed more photographs on this than any other printer I have owned in the past 25 years. I can recommend this to anyone wanting a quick and easy way to print photographs at home or on the move.

Got this item about 6 months ago and have had loads of trouble with printing photos ever since. Problems have been with the paper feed, its aligning the cartridge or paper jamming within the machine (stops printing but there never is any paper jammed!). When eventually it does print it eats up ink and catridges are pricey.

Its completely broken down today (no paper feed, new cartridge not aligning and paper jam!).....have spent the last hour trying to sort but looks like its heading to the bin.

    Waste of money.

I had the misfortune to buy one of these around 10 months ago. The print cartridge capacity is not great, but not surprising for a printer of this type.
The product however is one of the most tempremental pieces of junk I have had the misfortune to use. It will refuse to print perfectly formatted JPG files on cards if it decides it doesn't like it. If it decides to preview pictures, and condescend to print them, you often end up with half a print before it crashes, wasting expensive paper
If you use SD cards or USB sticks, I would strongly recommend backing up beforehand, as quite often it corrupts files.
Printing with a USB cable from a PC is also fraught as it often refuses to interface up properly.

The final straw was when it refused to recognise a brand new and expensive genuine factory fresh HP replacement ink cartridge.

    Avoid.
