About the Author
Katrin Eismann is an internationally respected lecturer and teacher on the subject of imaging, restoration, retouching, and the impact of emerging technologies upon professional photographers, artists, and educators. Her clients include Eastman Kodak, Apple, Adobe, American Film Institute, Professional Photography Association, and the University of California Los Angeles. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photographic Illustration with a concentration in electronic still imaging from the Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2002, she completed her Masters of Fine Arts degree in design at the School of VISUAL ARTS in New York City.
In the future, Katrin would like to take photographs that do not require any color correction, retouching, cropping, dodging and burning, or enhancement of any kind. This is an excellent book. It takes you step by step through a multitude of different methods of restoring nd retouching old and not so old photographs. There is an excellent website accompanying the book where you can download Katrin Eismann's exercises. I like the website because you can get information on Photoshop CS.
I would definitely recommend this work to anybody who has an interest in fixing up old family photographs.

The best book I have seen on the subject. The accompanying website is brilliant also. Well worth the asking price to learn how to recover damaged gems of photos. Just Great!

Just working through this but early chapters have been most helpful and informative. For any one interested in restoring old photos this is a must have. Well illustrated and clearly written in a step-by-step format.
