Just having upgraded to elements 8 from a free photo editing piece of software I was struggling to find how to get the best out of Elements 8. Jeff Carlson explains it in a not too simple way. It good that one has to look at the book turn to the screen and then still do a little experementing or looking for yourself... thats the best way to learn and remember. Nice clear colour photos to help see the before and after. It has a very helpful index at the back and all the shortcut key strokes listed at the back as well. After each explanation, Jeff gives extra tips to help in getting your desired effect. For the price its excellent.

Only just getting into this book, and more of a reference work at present when I want to do something new. But, I bought this after looking at a number of alternatives in our local library, and I've already recommended it to fellow students in my intro to digital photography group. So, yes I'm very happy with this guide. Easy to follow, and from what I can see, it's all there.

I am at present undertaking an evening course in Photoshop Elements 8. I find the guide an ideal complement to the tuition. It is clearly laid out, easily understood and very well supported with pictures etc. I am going to get years of value from this guide
