I saw the Swans supporting David Essex and was so impressed that I had to buy the CD at the interval. It has rarely been out my CD player, there is good variety with both Brendan and Paul singing and I enjoy every song, from the upbeat "Real true life story" to the final "Dawn Lament" which is extremely haunting. I am certainly looking forward to future albums under their new name of Bell and Wade. Thanks to them both for a great CD!

This IS my favourite CD from my collection. I first saw The Swans when they were supporting Mike and the Mechanics in York. What a brilliant night out it turned out to be. They are without doubt the best 'unknown' group. There is not one song I do not like and look forward to another one of their CD's to be realesed. My friends who have listened to this CD also feel the same. They deserve more publicity so other people can share their music. I would like to wish them the best of luck for the future

I was given this album by a freind who had seen them supporting Mike and the Mechanics and was completely knocked out! Every track is superbly crafted and memorable, True Life Story being my faviourite by a wisker. I was so impressed I rang the record company to find a little bit about them feeling this was the best 'Unknown' album I had ever heard and was amazed to find Brenden was the writer and vocalist responsible for my all time favourite 'unknown' single 'Witness for the World' by Cry Before Dawn. Well done lads every listen is a pleasure!!

Warning - This CD has nothing to do with the Michael Gira band
Got this CD by mistake, thinking I was ordering a CD of Swans. If you like Swans, then "Photographs & Letters" by "The Swans" will quickly find its way to the trash.

Missed talents
First heard the Swans on a cassette given to me by a friend. They should have done more. Where are they now when the likes of Westlife are still around!!!

music to my years
i saw swans now know as bell and wade. there were fantastic this album is as great as there were on the night cant wait for more from them.
