4.0 out of 5 stars Steady performer 27 Nov 2007
By Ian F
I bought this printer to proof garden designs before final printing at A2/A1. I have found it an excellent performer for the job. I rarely print large photos as the designs have small concept images on the page rather than large, borderless copies, etc. Compared to my Epson CX6600 A4 printer, the colours are perhaps a little washed out but I would think this is the paper rather than the printer and I only print at the normal setting not `best'. I chose the printer as new ink cartridges have the nozzles built in so that should the printer be unused for a while and clog up I can replace the ink and nozzle. Occasionally the paper flicks a corner and gets a bit smeary but this should not deter you. You will need to give it plenty of desk space but it is an A3 printer so can you expect a small footprint?

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for a design studio 2 April 2006
By A Customer
Good print quality! Good Price! Built-in Networking is great! Print from Memory Cards is not necessary for a studio. But good for most home users and if you haven't got a card reader. 4/5

1.0 out of 5 stars Cost me a fortune 16 Jun 2011
The mileage on this printer is so bad. I put cartridges in for £70 and use them up within the month. I realize that full page photo is expensive, but seeing as how it is done in "normal" quality on "normal" paper I would have expected more.
Most recent change is that some tiny bit of plastic broke off. The piece of plastic holds a tiny spring that in some way is needed for the cartridge to align, and get recognized by the printer. The result of this, is that the printer is now bricked( or in for repairs, I cannot imagine what parts cost when supplies are an arm and a leg..)
Finally, the reason why I bought a HP, was to have the print-heads replaced with every cartridge, to avoid the endless clean cycles I have come to hate from owning Canon printers. Well in this particular case, cleaning was ALL THE TIME!

TL;DR: Last HP product.
