my favorite new CD 11 July 2004
By Rachel E. Pollock - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This is my favorite new CD right now. In fact, after listening to it the first time through, i wrote the band an email to thank them for making it and telling them I am glad i don't have to live any more of my life without this album in it.

It's like, take every *good* non-overplayed song in the classic rock oeuvre and these boys did it right. As one of my friends says, it's like the Rolling Stones without that annoying Mick Jagger. And she's right. Think of the good slutty Zeppelin songs where Robert Plant is belting out trashy lyrics about what's running down his leg and sounding like a wailing banshee with the blues. Think about the Beatles after they stopped making scream-teen pap and before they started eating sheets of acid in Nepal with Swami Shawarma Ramalamadingi or whatever. Think about Grand Funk Railroad's "American Band" beating the teeth out of the Eagles' "Hotel California." Then throw in some really sweet sad ballad tracks that DON'T carry the soulful-lighter-brandishing cliche baggage, and that's this album. Buy it. You won't regret it.
