3.0 out of 5 stars Good set of short storys for fans of the games., 1 Dec 2008
Firstly I am a big fan of the game series in my view its the best series for DS. Now this is a tricky one a manga short story collection based on the game how the hell does that work out? Pretty strange really.

For one the storys change in quality for each story. It also changes in art style which I admit is pretty nice it shows meny manga styles. Also the translation is a little cheesy at points but this is normal in most manga. All in all if you are a fan of the games check it out but ONLY if you really really want it its quite a mixed bag. I did Enjoy it but it has its highs and lows.

4.0 out of 5 stars one for the fans, 11 Sep 2009
By foxtrot (england) - See all my reviews
As a fan, I enjoyed this book immensely. It really contains everything you would expect from a spinoff; out of character silliness, series in-jokes and constant references to those cliché manga themes that one can never seem to escape in the world of anime fandom.

Though the constantly changing art styles are a little grating at times (especially if super-deformed expressions aren't your cup of tea), the short story format works well, and keeps the Ace Attorney series as funny and lighthearted as it has always been. Needless to say, if you haven't played the Ace Attorney games, most of the jokes will fly completely over your head as pretty much all of the stories refer back to the games for their humour at some point.

And fans? You'll probably find this a damn good read, but be warned - there are a few spoilers hidden here and there, so you might want to finish all of the Phoenix Wright games before reading ;)

4.0 out of 5 stars Fans only, 12 Jun 2009
First of all if your not a fan of the ace attorny series then don't bother geting this, this manga is a collection of short stories based on the phoenix wright games (the best in the series), all of your favourites are here and feels a lot like the games. fans need this.
