Picked this up for the Jeremy Dyson story after seeing his Ghoststories in the west end. His story was good, but not the strongest. There are - as in most collections of shorts - good and bad. A couple are a bit self-indulgent, but I think there are some really good stories here that have me looking out for future novels by some of the writers involved.
A great way to sample some quality modrn horror-writing

An interesting collection of authors if not stories. As far as the Matthew Holness story is concerned fans of "Garth Merengai / Garth Marenghi" will be dissappointed, however readers looking for a modern zeitguist of our fears will be richly rewarded. I Look forward to a full length novel from him but wonder if he can escape from his label as schlock horror dreamweaver...
Stories by Paul Magys and Nicholas Royle are also worthy of a strong mention.
