Product Description

"Overall, the book is a sound comprehensive introduction to the field of early Christian philosophy. The author allows primary sources to speak for themselves as a general rule. However, his references to modern scholarship are relevant and current. This book would be an ideal textbook for an undergraduate course on Christian philosophy." -- Justin Rogers, Bryn Mawr Classical Review, 2014.04.51

Stirring and Illuminating 4 Nov. 2014

This book could really shift the way in which we view early Christian thought, and could open meaningful new doors to how we conceive of the Christian intellectual project overall. I found Karamanolis' work truly exciting and inspiring. It brought the Church Fathers' specifically philosophical work alive in ways that generally do not seem to be considered very deeply in a lot of scholarship, and so lays a solid path for further inquiry into areas of Christian philosophy that truly deserve more attention. Bravo!

Understanding the early Christian philosophy in very important to develop a deeper insight in to the minds of Christ's disciples
