Just for show. 3 Dec. 2012
By Little Known Blogger - Published on Amazon.com
I can't bring myself to give Sir Newton one star, but I'm not sure for whom this volume is intended. I actually asked a clerk at Barnes and Noble to order it for me, so I didn't know it was in Latin. Not insurmountable; I used to take Latin, so just a bit of brushing up. Except that it's printed not only in a hard-to-read archaic typeface (lots of extra flourishes), but the type is deliberately lightened and blurred. Presumably, this was to simulate woodblock printing, but it makes the text even less readable.
I would expect that these affectations were to orient the book to collectors, rather than scholars, but true collectors would want a hardcover.
