    After my last pair of straighteners broke (not by Philips!), I had been yearning for a pair of GHDs. However, after receiving these for Christmas I can happily say that they are as good, even on my thick mop! They heat up quickly (up to 220 degrees), are very smooth over the hair, have a long cord and there's a very useful mat to rest them on as they heat up. The digital display with temperature readout is great too.

    I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who is thinking of getting ghd straighteners as a cheaper alternative.

    I ordered two of these products, one for each of my daughters. After having various types of straighteners when they received this product they were absolutly amazed by the speed they heat up and the tempreture they get to. All round they say they as good as GHD's that some of there pals have got.
