I seem to have become passionate about coffee! Among others, I have a Philips 'Senseo' coffee machine, bought for curiosity since Comet were selling off their old stock. I can't admit to being over-impressed by this machine, perhaps the problem was in the limited range of coffee pods that are available in supermarkets, all from Douwe Egberts.
It didn't take long to discover that there is a substantially wider range of pods available throughout Europe (and in America, if it comes to that), so I set about placing a few orders.
The problem is that, given the varying sizes of the pods themselves (chocolate being substantially larger than, say espresso coffee), then you are faced with an ever-increasing number of pod holders that you need to store. Whilst I would not suggest that the pod holders are fragile, neither are they particularly robust, and do not lend themselves to being chucked into a drawer. For these, the Pod holder Station is a godsend. Having now acquired a total of 5 podholders, and a little gadget that allows you to use fresh ground coffee in the machine, I am now able to keep them safe and secure in a unit which is designed to hold them properly.
Having bought two of them, my only quibble is the price (but you only have to buy them once), and the fact that they have to come from the Netherlands. Why not the U K, Philips?
Highly recommended if you need one, and, by the way, there is a pod holder for tea, which works exceptionally well with ordinary round tea bags (square ones will leak), and does NOT need the Pickwick tea bags for which it was designed.
