This is the Daddy of universal remote controls, I am very happy with it. I control my Sony LCD TV, Sky+HD, Sony Home Theatre Centre, 2 Sony DVDR HDD's(different models) and my PC. As far as the sensitive wheel problem I get round that by simply pressing the 'MORE' or 'FAV' button once I'm on the device I'm controlling and by renaming and/or deleting obsolete functions in 'MORE FUNCTIONS' on some devices it's a doddle..The activities allows me to watch tv with one press of the button. i.e. ALL ON switches on TV changes TV to HDMI input, switches on SKY+HD, switches on HOME THEATRE CENTRE and switches to correct imput. The same button switches everything off so I've renamed it TV ON/OFF

I've had a Cambridge Audio M1+ for years (which I really liked), but it got dropped by my little boy and the screen smashed so had to replace it and opted for this one. I did a little research on AV Forums and it was between this one and a Logitech.
I found the initial setup very easy, instructions were easy to follow, and the programming of the favourites channels was also easy, but a little time comsuming. Not sure I'll use it much as it's easier to use the 'favourites' button (blue) on sky setting to get to the channels I view regularly, but does look nice. Screen is nice to look at and although when just browsing through channels the time out is only about 2 - 3 seconds, but when using it for operation selection, it is user defined.
It does everything I want, I don't use it for multi functions as all of my stuff is turned off at the unit and not left on standby so cannot comment on that.
The jog wheel is a little sensative and I have found that I've gone to another operation to the one I wanted, but with a little time operating the unit, you get used to it. A nice touch would be like the iPod wheel that you can define the sensativity, but alas not.
I have to say that after a couple of weeks use, the batteries are still ok, the unit does 'crash' occasionally, but quickly starts up again after a quick lift out of one of the batteries.
Overall, I am happy with the remote, and pleased with what it does. It suits me fine, but others may find it not to their taste and liking.

Good product 8 Mar 2010
This remote control was ordered to replace a broken Philips DVD control. It was quite difficult to programme the replacement if you don't have the original handy or working and I could not get some of the features to work. Having said that with a bit of perserverance I got it to work well with the other equipment such as the TV etc.

The only thing thing that wasn't good about this transaction is that it arrived very dirty with the previous owners muck on it. I know I saved a lot of money by buying second hand - but please, clean these things up before you send them out. Yuk!
