Good, easy to use camera. Working great with my Ubuntu Linux 8.04. Decent resolution and clear picture. Working well with Linux and Skype combination.

Compact camera which looks nice, and works well sitting on top of my laptop. The only problem I've had is that the software drivers have caused conflicts with the Nortel VPN software I use to connect to the corporate network (Eacfilt if that means anything to you). An email to Phillips got a worse-than-useless 'not our problem' response, so as a result I'm disconnecting it when connecting to the VPN. So that's not great.
Also I've been unable to make it work with the new Google gmail/chat.

This is my old webcam and I had real problems with the lighting. Although on my screen the picture looked fine, the person I was talking to complained of poor light, even with 2 lamps shining brightly in my face! I gave this one to my dad and bought a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 Webcamwhich is more expensive but well worth it. with my new cam you can see the whole room with just the light from the monitor!
