really good but 8 April 2007
I brought these from argos and sadly didn't keep the receipt [I just assume things will work for a long period of time.

they where most definately the best in-earphones I have ever brought, but £25+ is not worth it. I noticed after two weeks of use [at least 3-4 hours a day 5 days a week]that the sound wasn't as excellent as it first was, then last week the right sides bass boost busted. So when they are on, you get a nice rich base tone with excellent treble on the left while the right just plays the treble, it's listenable unless you are really into rock and generally bass-y stuff.

the most annoying thing now is that since the the right sides bass has gone, I get a constant whistling noise. The earphone has a bass hole for some soundto come out to counter act outside noise, so now whenever they are on outside the wind makes them whistle.

although these are really really good, when they are in good working order. If you buy these make sure you can get a replacement if they break.

I did feel in large part I paid £[...] for gold connectors, which to be honest don't make a difference.

Not the best 14 July 2009
In my everlasting quest to try find some decent earphones I bought some of these earphones from HMV for around the £15 mark, at first I was impressed with a decent level of sound sound brought from the medium sized earbuds.

Sadly 2 months use later the right bud decided it could no longer deal with the pressure of playing my music back to me and decided to die, leaving me feeling ever so slightly out of pocket.

I think in future i will stick with the Skullcandies...

Without fear of contradiction I can safely say that these are the worst headphones I've ever spent money on. In fact the free headphones I was given on a recent flight from Heathrow had better sound reproduction.

    My summary as follows:

    1. I much prefer the in-ear style but these are uncomfortable and all too often fall out of your ear when you move.
    2. There is no bass whatsoever, in fact they sound similar to a small child banging a stick on a tin can.
    3. The cable has joiner half way which only serves to snag on your jacket or bag.
