I spent weeks looking for a pair of bluetooth headphones I could use with my iphone 3g that would answer / reject calls, control music and have decent sound quality. These headphones do all of this and do it prefectly. The only thing they won't do (yet) is rewind or forward music tracks (start / stop and volume works fine). Please note this is because the iphone does not support AVCRP and is not a fault of the headphones (no bluetooth headphones will do this on the iphone until Apple support this).

I previously used a pair of Sennheiser cx300 in-ear headphones which I thought were really good. The shb9000's have a real depth and quality of sound that was missing in the cx300's (and other headphones I've used). I also tested the Sennheiser MM400 bluetooth headphones in the apple store (retailing at £180) and these were nowhere near as good as the SHB9000's (in my opinion).

If you're looking for a pair of headphones use can use without wires with noise cancelling, long battery life, music and call control - buy these!

I purchase this headphone is because I want some wireless solution both of my phone and notebook. I realised that there are not too many choices around and I narrowed them down by just choosing some renowned headphone manufacturers. I am a Sennheiser fan myself but the one they are on offer is the PXC 210 BT which is a bit too expensive for me. So I opted for this pair of Philips cans. I have looked at some Sony as well but they just do not appeal to me.

The sound quality of this pair of headphone is very good for it's price and functions. It is more for the pop musics and probably watching personal movies. When paired up with my notebook, the wireless sound quality is actually better than I expected. Of course, they are just nowhere as detail and clear as my older Sen HD-595. Maybe if I burn it in with the provided cable, the sound would be even smoother. This brings up the question of how well it performs when connected with the traditional headphone wire, and to my surprise, the 'true' performance is impressive for general multimedia usages.

The reason I gave a 4star to this headphone is because of the phone performance and its sound isolation ability. Pairing up with my Samsung Jet is easy, using it as a bluetooth headset is also fun as this is the first time I use a full size headphone to pick up calls. Music playback is a bit disappointing, some high notes are missing, most likely due to the weaker bluetooth transmission and bandwidth from the phone. On the other hand, your friends and colleagues will not be disappoint as well as you can easily hear them calling your name (at a reasonable voice), as the phone has no sound isolating function. No complaint though with what I just paid.

All in all, I like the SHB9000 very much as it fits basically all of my requirements. The smart futuristic look is cool and is not very intimidating like some other offerings which put too many blinking LEDs on your head. The bluetooth range is pretty good, battery life is good as well, probably even better than my bluetooth headsets. If you can get it for under GBP80 new, it is going to be a good deal.
