I bought this in January and i am already on my 3rd in roller. It has a chip card that needs to be inserted and when that tells you that you are out of ink, you have to replace the cartridge. I have just replaced mine today and saw that i still had at least half a roll unused. Paying out for ink that im never going to use. I need this for work but im thinking of getting a better one. Also the paper jams up often or takes 2 or 3 at a time. I find if i put more than 8 sheets in it will jam up.

This fax machine is a junk heap. It keeps misfeeding pages so out of a 7 page fax it sends 5 or 6 pages, sometimes feeding two pages at once, other times not even bothering with the last few sheets.
The whole thing locked up during setup because the film roll print cartridge got all tangled and had spewed the carbon like paper about inside the machine.
When it recieves a fax the quality is tolerable but clearly has been printed using a really poor technology.
Any so called eco-features are outweighed by the constant need to resend the same fax because it missed some pages and every time it sends a fax it prints a full page transmission report to congratulate itself and waste paper - go eco!
I am contacting Amazon and sending this back, its abismal.

I had a good inkjet fax but get so few faxes nowadays that it became gummed up and no amount of cleaning could get it going. Accordingly I bought this cheap (£30) Phillips thermal machine. It does the job so far but print quality isn't great so 4 stars. It's not much good for an odd copy because of this but it can't gum up, it has voice mail and has done me a favour.

this must be the worst fax machine that i have come across.the ribbon has to be replaced regularly even when there is plenty of life left if it could be rewound. Read more

Fair Value
It's cheap and cheerful! Works ok as a fax although the copy facility is somewhat awkward and the paper feeder a bit temperamental taking more tht 1 page sometimes.
