Looking for a DVD player mainly for the kids in the car / a 2 week camping trip, and so far this seems like a good product - has a car charger and double earphone sockets, so they can both listen on headphones whilst not interrupting driver & front passenger. Picture is clear, bright & colourful, as you'd expect from a Philips,and the volume goes pretty loud / is reasonably rich and none too tinny considering the size of the built-in speakers. Only had it a few days, but pleased with it so far and it seems good value from Amazon (you can pay an extra £40 for the same product in the likes of Currys, etc). Finally, it's nice that the battery is built-in, rather than being a bulky external attachment like previous DVD players we've owned, and helps give this Philips a good quality feel. Fingers crossed that this one's robust enough to hold-up to abuse from my kids!

This is a first class player. The picture quality and sound are excellent - just as good as more expensive models around. There are no visible lines on the screen which we found in some dearer makes! Looks good, is small enough to be portable - would have been nice if it came with bag and headphones - has a remote and can be operated without it - which some makes can't.

used this on a few long journeys to placate a small screaming child with severe car aversion. Very easy to use, no skipping or jumping, good picture quality and sound and battery lasts up to 2 hours. Very pleased
