Product Description

Philip's Multiscale Europe 2012 gives more for leisure travellers than any comparable product. In addition to the main maps at 1:750,000, the continental road network is shown at three supplementary scales from 1:200,000 to 1:3M, with ultra-clear detailed maps for urban areas. Scenic routes are highlighted on the road maps, with theme parks and World Heritage sites clearly shown. The maps also highlight towns with low emission zones and show motorway rest/parking areas. Philip's Multiscale Europe 2012 includes: Up-to-date driving regulations, including speed limits, for every country in Europe; 15 pages of route-planning maps which enable journeys of over 1,200 miles to be planned without turning a page; 103 pages of clear, detailed road maps, with scenic routes highlighted and toll, toll-free and pre-pay motorways all clearly marked; 31 large-scale urban-area maps for Europe's largest cities; 50 city-centre plans marking historic buildings and tourist attractions, as well as car parks, head post offices and other facilities.

Dissapointed 7 Nov 2011
Format:Spiral-bound|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is the third version of this road atlas I have bought. Whilst the mapping seems as clear as previous versions this version has, for me, one very major drawback, its physical size. Previous versions fitted nicely in the underseat storage in the car so were always available if and when wanted. This one is, I'm afraid destined for the back of a storecupboard as it is just too large to be kept elsewhere. This of course is a common problem with road atlases, but one I thought Philips had avoided. I guess it serves me right for assuming this version would be the same as previous ones.

Bought this 2012 map for a fantastic price before we travel across Germany, France and Spain in early 2012. Whilst I haven't yet used it in anger on 'unknown' routes, I have had it out and tried it on the roads at home. Level of detail and ease of use were as I expected. I'm sure I'll find it to be perfect for my needs to support the in-car GPS and to spot alternative routes that can't easily be found without a road atlas. Well done Amazon.

Clear and big 16 Nov 2011
Format:Spiral-bound
Bought this map to travel across Europe on a motorbike. It is big and so shows fantastic detail of all of those scenic routes that we like to take. Feels sturdy enough to take a bit of a bashing from being stuck in a rucksack or in and out of the panniers. I have the USA version and thats still in top condition after 2 weeks and thousands of miles.

Not bad...
The scales of the maps here are good. One needs a GPS or a more detailed map to find smaller villages, but otherwise it offers good value. Read more
