This mini Hi Fi assembles easily, looks impressive and plays OK.
The FM radio is not much good when using the supplied "wire" aerial.
It only found seven stations in my area,(Preston Lancs) but was greatly improved when connected to a TV type aerial.
Don't be confused between "Digital" and "DAB".
With this set you get station and track info. when listening to FM but you cannot get stations such as "Arrow"
The big let down is the Remote Control.
It looks and feels like it fell out of a christmas cracker.
The buttons are weedy and I find the captions very hard to read.
All in all it's OK but I wish now that I had gone the extra mile and got one with a DAB radio.

The item arrived well in time for christmas and was well packaged was well packed so no delivery damage. From the opening of the box to the 1st sounds coming out of the speakers was very quick and the quality really impressed me (i was assuming the sound would be a little "tinny" as the speakers have no depth to them). Radio tuning was fine and even with the smaller wired arial we picked up rock radio no problem and had classic rock tunes blasting around the kitchen whilst we made chrismtas dinner.

What I wanted from Hi-Fi I was buying was:
-it plays mp3s
-it properly plays CD -R -RW
-it has [for mp3s] skipping whole folders instead of single tracks
-it has decent sound
-it has random play
-it doesn't skip on smallest scratch
I've got this, and believe me it's wasn't this easy at the time to get decent player for small amount of money.
What is that I don't like about this one.
If listening to mp3 tune and want to see artist and track name [so called ID info] need to go [only on remote] trough other useless info - each time because I didn't find a way to set it permanently and I believe there isn't. The line with ID goes once or two...
Random button [not only] is present only on remote - in case of breakage.
The biggest let down:
it skips few seconds of the beginning of every track! It doesn't matter in what music format. The saddest thing about it is that if you look at Philips range they have terrible problem with it any many people is complaining at it. I've found out about it too late and couldn't return it any more.
This fault makes a difference. Once I was listening to audio book and wasn't able to make it tell me what is the first line :(
I've just read somewhere else that listening to music can give you the same effect as some tracks starts rapidly or with lyrics!
I've found way around it but it's time consuming and requires some knowledge.
