I ordered two of these 11w/60w mini fluorescents but had to wait two weeks for delivery.
The bulbs work OK and are almost as bright as a 60w pearl bulb. They are also slightly longer than a normal bulb.
The other shortcoming is that the boxes are marked as 6 years guarantee, not 8 years. However, at £1.99 each, I shan't send them back.

These bulbs seem to be quite popular on the supermarket shelves (and cheaper too!). In terms of quality, you have to be careful not to touch any of the glass element of the bulb, as the glass itself is quite thin and does react with the skin oil, therefore considerably shortening the lifespan of the bulb. Hold the bulb by the provided carton enclosure around the spirals when screwing the bulb in.
On the other note, the bulb is OK, does produce warm type light, although a bit dull for my liking. OK for "atmospheric", background lighting. Would not recommend it in the reading lamps.
Also, 3 years on, do notice some degradation in the amount of light it produces (dust is blown off regularly).
8 Years warranty? Heh, try to find the reciept after a year!!

I'm extremely disappointed by these light bulbs. I replaced all my bulbs 6 months ago and two have already stopped working. So much for the 6 year guarantee.

warm light bad smell
Yes as others have said, these bulbs are fairly warm but don't do anything like the 6 years talked about and also give off quite a strong chlorine/ozone kind of smell. Read more

These bulbs don't last
I have had about 6 philips low energy bulbs go in less than 12 months each . The 8/10 years guarantees are a just a joke . Still trying to find out how to get my money back

Only lasted 8 weeks!!!

Failed in 8 months
I purchased one of these, like others I experienced failure in less than a year. Its disgusting that they claim 6 years life when most only last 6 months...
