Amazon Verified Purchase
This phone is a lovely design and quality finish.
However far too expensive.
Phone software is not good, phone kept switching off and had to remove batteries to fix. Also battery charge indicator did not work correctly and just kept flashing.
Called Philips numerous times and eventually they got me to reprogram the EPROM setting in the phone, which didn't work. They went away to come up with another solution and then didn't call me back. I have called since and apparently someone will call me, but hasn't.
Have returned for a refund.
Also, analogue clock screensaver doesn't work unless phone is on base station, in the product picture it is working off the base !

I bought one of these Philips Cordless phone answer machine ID9651B
It had to be replaced because the power lead cable splitter had a loose connection which meant that the answering machine part (which also acts as the 'controller' unit that the hand set logs on to) would lose its power if one of the cables moved slightly.
The replacement unit seemed fine...but switches itself off frequently and the battery low warning flashes.
As the phone is left on the charger all day, and because it is supposed to have a Standby time of Up to 170 hours and Talk time of Up to 14 hours, then this phone also has a problem.
It should not switch itself off after minimal useage or being left off the charger for 4 hours.
Additionally, you will require 2 power sockets - one for the answering machine part and the other for the handset.
In use, the phone was comfortable to hold, sound quality was very good and the answering machine messages were very clear with everything being very easy to operate.
However - both units have failed (for different reasons) and I would suggest that quality control is an issue with it.

I bought one of these a two week ago, I am over the moon with it, it is so simple to set up, you literally just plug it and is ready to go.
The battery life is brilliant, and speech quality is out of this world.
