This product was a revelation! I've used electric shavers before but they were all middle-of-the-way. Now I am attached to my Cool Skin shaver for good. I shave twice a day because of my job and the Phillips delivers every time. The Nivea balm is OK, but I have discovered that any pre-shave facial gel will deliver a perfect substitute. The fact that the Phillips is a "wet" shaver marries perfectly with a face freshly covered with pre-shave. The final result is BETTER than with a razor. You have to try it to believe it. I certainly didn't believe that an electric shave could be so close and smooth. Five stars for the Phillips, hands down!!

If you have purchased a Philips Coolskin 8060 Shaver then at some point you will need to replace the shaving heads and for that you will need to purchase the HS85 Replacement head for the 8060 Philips coolskin shaver, Unfortunately for me I have a very strong stubble growth and use up my shaving head replacement in about 3 to 4 weeks and that does not take into account the 2 disposable razors I need to use along with this Philips coolskin shaver However, for most people they will probably get 4 months use out of the shaving head before needing to replace the head. My Philips 8060 is the only Electric shaver I have found that will give me a resonable shave considering I have such a strong growth so if you are in the market for an Electric Shaver which will give you a good shave for most people, then try the Philips 8060 Shaving System I think you will be well pleased. Dont forget the excellent shaving head the HS85 replacemnt which is not exactly cheap but will last most people for quite a long time.

Amazon Verified Purchase
This product goes with my Philips Cool Skin shaver, which I would not be without. When I shave with a conventional "wet razor" my neck breaks out in spots and a rash. Not so with the cool skin method, the combination of electric razor and the constant lubrication of Nivea balm results in a gentle kind shave. This is in fact my second razor and I would not dream of changing unless there was something revolutionary, which I doubt. Believe me I have tried everything!

Replacement heads
Philips do suggest that the cutting heads are replaced every two years and the new ones cut so much better now meaning a much closer and smoother shave. Read more
