Philips HP6578 Satin Perfect Deluxe Rechargeable Epilator Set

Having used various epilators before, I was intrigued to see if this Philips HP6578 Satin Perfect Deluxe would be worthy of the price tag, especially when compared to the Philips HP6570 SatinPerfect Luxury For Legs Epilator With Luxury Bag And Two Attachment Heads I am currently using.

The package comes with a cordless epilator with extra wide head. I found the cordless aspect fantastic and much less restricting than mains operated epilators. I was a bit concerned that it may be less powerful than when plugged in but I didn't notice any difference. This is also the least painful epilator I have used. In fact I would say it is a tiny discomfort rather than pain. Whether that is because I am used to epilating, or the epilator itself, but either way it is great for people who have been epilating a while. It also comes with a 3-pin plug charger which comes in handy as often the 2-pin bathroom plugs are standard on these types of products.

There is also a second epilator in this set. This one is also cordless and is a precision epilator for sensitive areas. Having never used an epilator on my underarms I thought I would give this a go. It was painful to begin with although not as bad as I anticipated. I would recommend shaving first and then epilating a tiny bit of regrowth to get used to the pain. The only downside with this one is that it isn't rechargable although 2xAA batteries are included.

A pair of luxury light up tweezers with a mirror are also provided which is a nice bonus. 3 attachments are also provided for the main epilator: shave, active hair lifter and active massaging system. Finally there is a little cleaning brush which is useful for cleaning the precision epilator and a bag to keep it all in.

Overall this is the best epilator I have ever used. The cordless feature provides up to 40 minutes of use which is ample for 1 session and only takes an hour to fully charge. The precision epilator is a great addition to the package. The only negative I would have is the noise level as you can't really listen to the TV etc. whilst epilating although I have yet to find a quiet epilator. I would recommend this Philips epilator set highly, particularly as it comes with a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.

Wow this is amazing, If I could give it 6 stars I would ( which is rare for me as Im a grump ).
It has everything you need to stay completely hairfree from top to toe, in a fast , easy, almost painfree way.
If you have never used an epliator before this is the one to get, if you have an epilator this will make your old one look like the ark !

This comes with -
Cordless main epilator , for large areas like legs.
Adaptors for shaver ,senstive hair, flat hair.
Smaller precision epilator , ideal for facial hair, underarms & bikini area.
Tweezer , which are fab .

The main epilator has an extra large head for covering large areas. Its amazingly fast , when I used it without any cover I felt it was too sore , especally about my leg bone, but I then put on the optimal performance head & it worked a treat .Easy fast and the pain was really minimal,( Im a baby with pain so If can stand it I can guaranteed you will definately be ok ) .Its the least painful epilator I have tried & also the fastest. You sometimes need to go in different directions but I managed to defuzz in a few minutes .
If you have flat lying hair just put the attachemnt for this on, by a quick clip and its sorted. If you dont want to use any attachments just the epliator , its done in another quick clip.
It also comes with a shaver head incase you want to shave instead, again clips on.

The little precision epilator is wonderful. Again very fast , bit like a lawnmower on turbo boast, so I was at first initally heisitant about putting it near my , rapidily appearing ladies moustache - aging seems to be making me hairy and Im dreading looking like a bearded women. But the size worked perfect and in a second, I looked less like Freddie mercurary and able to face the world again- without a single tear !
Had slight redness but just dabbed some moisturiser on and It cleared up in about ten minutes.

The tweezer are terrific too, they come in a really cool little case- like a lipstick but when you open them they have a mirror attached, and wow a built in light. With the light I could pluck my eyebrows really easily, I have now discarded my tweezermans !

To clean it you can use the brush supplied or rise under water.
It also comes with a practical three pin plug, which makes a change from the two pin- if you need two pin for your bathroom you can just get an adaptor.

Overall this is a brilliant set, so easy to use, caters for everything and works with the flick of a switch. U can defuzz in seconds , and it comes in a handy little bag to keep all the attchements .
If I was to make any moans, it might be that the precision epilator works on rechargable batteries .
So If you were to get one epilator get this, almost makes you want to grow hairs to use it !

UPDATE -FACIAL
After a few wks of use I have a word of warning- I thought the prescion mini epliator was gd for facial hair however I ened up with bad spots ( when I never have any ). It appears that if you have sensitive skin , epilating your face can possabily give you acne. So for sensitive skin users , just be careful- this may also apply to your legs.
I have now had to stop using it on my face , so the extra prescion epilator is now no use for me. So sadly deducting one mark, as I could buy just a leg epilator cheaper .

I have used an epilator for years. Usually, I spend a good half- hour doing one little patch, and some hairs are always missed. Also, when using a modern-day torture contraption such as an epilator, quite a bit of eye-watering pain. And, I certainly would never even consider taking one to my face. The thought of doing that is enough to make one break out in a cold sweat. However, I thought it was now time to be brave and face up to my fear of the dreaded epilator.

The claims that the new Phillips epilator makes in its publicity blurb are pretty much on the money. It is a lot faster than any other epilator I have ever tried. In fact, I can do each leg in the blink of an eye. The Philips epilator even got those tiny little hairs that feel scratchy to the touch. And, when I finished, my legs did have that smooth, freshly-waxed feel to them that all us girls and guys love!

Another claim in Philips promotional blurb is that the epilator is practically pain-free if you use it in the shower. This is not true! An epilator is never, I say never, painless, but this one does reduce the pain slightly.
One other good thing about the Phillips Epilator, is I do think it is reasonably priced. I have seen other ones on the market for at least £50 more. And with this one you do get extra bits and pieces. You have two epilators for the price of one. One is for your legs and another one for smaller areas, you also get a pair of beautician style tweezers with a light attached, you know for when you are plucking your eyebrows in the dark!?! Just kidding!

All in all the Phillips epilator seems to do exactly what it says on the tin and you can't complain too much about that. It is fast efficient and I seem to have a lot less ingrown hairs than usual, which is a definite plus.

One final thought - Until someone invents a machine that will remove hair from your legs instantly, without any pain and without any fear that those nasty hairs will ever grow back, the Philips HP6578 Satin Perfect Deluxe Rechargeable Epilator Set is the next best thing.
