I bought this as an intro to epilation after waxing for years. The first time I used it I found it agonising but the ice pack really helped.
After a while I could do legs, underarm and bikini without the ice pack. The results are good and I would recommend it. However, I think it's been overtaken by other products within the same price range with greater features including shaver heads etc.

Philips, Epilator HP6513
I had read other people's reviews and decided this sounded like best one on the market. Amazon was the best price. Ice pack brilliant. Easy to use. Less painful than i imagined.Instrucions helpful such as using glove on legs before you epilate. Would certainly recommend to others.Lovely smooth legs.

I bought this epilator over 2 years ago from Amazon as it seemed the best value for money, and with the highest rating of customer reviews. After all this time I felt it might be helpful for anyone considering purchasing an epilator to hear a first hand account of how this product has worked for me.
By the age of 30, the hair on my legs that started life as wispy and blonde now grew dark and course, often with several hairs growing from the same folical. I had always shaved my legs, as it was the quickest, easiest, cheapest, and most readily available form of hair removal. I had tried waxing but found home waxing to give me terrible in-grown hairs, which were uncomfortable and looked even worse than the stubble and rash I got from shaving - even with the best razors I could buy I still ended up looking raw. At first I did find epilating a bit painful, and I still had a certain amount of in growing hair, but after about a year I started noticing a real difference in the thickness of the hair on my legs. Now, 2 years or more along, I get very little hair on my legs at all. Some areas are still stubbornly refusing to quit - i find the boney area down my shins tends to still sprout a few hairs - but I'm confident that in time even these will go. Be patient, and you will be rewarded!
