There is much emphasis on the future and the very real threats to the lives and well-being of not just individuals and communities but humanity as a whole. Areas prone to particular hazards (such as earthquake zones, volcanic regions, flood zones) are illustrated and mapped.

If you watch the news and sometimes you do not understand how a tornado may form, how can ozone depletion affect your life, or why it is virtually impossible to predict earthquakes etc., you have to have one copy of it.

The style its text is very reader friendly and you do not need any background information at all. It explains to you everything step by step and by the time you have read the whole book you will unfold several mysteries of our Mother Nature. It is also guaranteed that you will have a better understanding on cause and effect systems on our Planet Earth.

The quality of the pictures, figures, graphs, charts is superb and utterly enjoyable. All of them really help your understanding of your reading.

In a nutshell, if you are open-minded and keen on understanding our world this is undoubtedly the book you should buy.
