Easily removes creases
The Philips GC2840/02 SteamGlide iron features continuous steam output of up to 32 g/min for better crease removal and an extra-powerful steam boost function of up to 100 g/min to remove even the most stubborn creases easily. Tip: To minimise the reappearance of creases after ironing, it is worth using a combination of steam ironing and dry ironing. Steam moisturises and softens creases. Hot, dry ironing removes moisture and helps to retain the shape of the fabric better after pressing. Use full steam in the first few strokes of ironing and end with a few strokes of dry ironing.

Longer lifetime with double active calc system
The calc clean function removes scale and impurities that can affect the iron's performance and mark your clothing. The Philips GC2840/02 is equipped with an innovative double active calc system. The pills in the iron break down calc so you can flush away the calc scales easily. Use the calc clean slider to easily remove scale from your iron. Calc cleaning is particularly important if you are using hard water from the tap to fill your iron.

Excellent iron which is very light weight. Glides very smoothly. My only criticism is the power cord needs to be a bit longer.

Timely delivered, We dont need to worry about the quality as its made by Philips. I love te product, efficient iron and lot of options in it. You dont need to fill the tank very often, as it have bigger tank and using considerably less amount of steam.......

I am very pleased with this iron, it's one of the best I've had in my long years of ironing. It glides beautifully over the clothes, it's useful to be able to use the steam on a two dot setting, also it has a nice long lead. Very good value for the money.
