function set is impressive for the price, but it is a real pain to access all the settings, and a powercut will render them back to presets.

This is beyond annoying if you are prone to power cuts, as the presets tend to cut messages short. you also need to have a high quality adsl filter if you put this on a broadband line, otherwise it can cause all sorts of problems.

maybe I got a duff unit, but I have come close to throwing it out the window. technical helpline is of course outsourced and script driven leading to frustrating and expensive support.

only recommended if you like messing with complicated menu settings and live in an area with stable power supply

Looks great. Very light, so feels alittle fragile. I found it difficult to set up and then it kept forgetting what time it was, so every time I use it I have to re-set the date and time.

It does however, cope really well with sending multiple page faxes. The paper feed is smooth and only messed up once in about 50 pages, so by far the best budget fax I've used in that respect. But I still spend ages fiddling around putting the date on it every time.

For the money though I am happy (it was a third of what I expected to pay for the features) and would recommend it if you are handy with dealing with multiple menu options that don't always do what you expect.
