If, like me, you have been advised to purchase this lamp as a replacement for your Philips wake-up light, turn back now! I bought it for my HF3463 and it does not work: it turns onto full brightness and cannot be dimmed or turned off without turning off the wake-up light at the mains. It works fine as a "normal" lightbulb though! :)

Disappointed about this product. It isn't suitable for a wake up light. After teething problems I thought it was ok, but then it went wrong. It flickers brightly first before working gently as it should. Its faulty when using the light in the morning to wake you up gently by. It goes mad when you change the brightness too. It is meant to be dimable! The wake up lights are good as long as you can get parts for them which is difficult! I like to save energy where I can so thought this would be good and was recommended for being ok.

After reading one review that the item does not work and another that it does work with the HF3463 Philips Wake up light, i took the chance as i could not find any other bulb to use after as the other buyer said phillips stopped selling incandescent light bulbs, I am also pleased to say the light works as it should do - on / off / dimming gradually etc, I will be buying some others in case this one is not being sold in the future!
