I am a chef and at home I always make home made soups and sauces. Having a normal blender is great for making smoothies and such but they are such a mess to clean up afterwards. This hand blender is quick, no mess as you dont have to pour the soup into the blender bowl, you simply stick this hand blender in the pot and away you go. Its also great for making foam for dishes, lumpless mash and milk shakes. Extreley simple to clean. Pop it in a cup of hot soapy water and turn it on. wash the outside and dry it off and throw it back on its shelf. I love it. The measure cup that comes with it as well as the air tight lid that goes with it is perfect for storing sauces until needed.

Brought to mix protein shakes. Simply press button for 30 seconds and you are done, compared to a had whisk this wins hands down.

Very happy with it! I use it almost every day and take soup to work in the cup (it has a lead) and it doesn't leak. Not heavy and washes easy. The cup has no handle as it is pictured though but it's absolutely fine.

Does what I needed
I needed something to blend lunch size portions of Lentil soup. This does the job quickly and easily. No complaints. If anything, it highlights my need for a full-sized blender.
