Another Philips cracker this. Great picture with Blu ray Discs, and definately a noticable difference when watching standard DVDs, compared to that of a standard player. A friend of mine is on the look out for a stand alone Blu ray player right now, he currently uses his Playstation 3. I own two of these Philips crackers, the BDP3000, and the BDP3100, and I have recommended either of these to him. I've told him that they're very straight forward to use, they're not complicated, and that they don't keep you waiting very long for the loading of Discs. For curiousity, they're also the safest bet if you want a player that's multiregion for DVD Discs, and the unlocking code is an exact duplicate for both models. It's a simple remote control unlocking proceedure that takes about 20 seconds, and it's been pretty much telegraphed on Amazon selling pages.
